Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum

The Imagination Workshop, Temecula Children's Museum is in reality the home of Professor Phineas Pennypickle, Ph.D. A creative and imaginative boy, Phineas spent all his time experimenting and inventing. Eventually as he grew and learned, his house became filled with gizmos, machines, and stuff. He loved inventing so much that he spent all his time in his own imaginative world. He became very shy and never went anywhere or saw anyone, but one day he heard children laughing outside. After watching them create and invent he wanted to share all that he had done. So Phineas decided to open his home to children of all ages. He's still shy, so you probably won't see him, but he continues to discover, learn and share. Phineas hopes that you will join him in his Imagination Workshop. Professor Phineas T. Pennypickle, Ph.D.... scientist, time traveler, and inventor of wacky and wonderful contraptions that amaze, delight, (and educate!), children and adults alike. Pennypickle's experiments and mechanical inventions fill every room of his 7500 square foot workshop, which has become a storehouse for tinkering and theoretical thinking. Pulleys, gears, cables, notes, and blueprints are everywhere. There are secret passageways, puzzles, machines and gizmos. Somewhere in all of this madness is the Professor himself...although he is very shy and probably won't be seen, you can be assured he is in his workshop, puttering around and inspiring a whole new generation of inventors!
