Escondido Children's Museum
Far from only “child’s play,” what happens in a children’s museum is profoundly important. In a setting where there are no wrong answers, no time limits and tests; children are free to do what they do best: imagine, explore and experiment. Kids are natural scientists, inventors and pioneers, but in today’s world, the kind of unstructured play time many adults fondly recall is very scarce. At the Escondido Children’s Museum our unique indoor-outdoor setting in the heart of Downtown Escondido encourages children to get their brains growing in healthy directions. Our focus on natural and social science introduces and reinforces basic science literacy and cultural awareness, connecting the dots of what children learn at home, at school, on the playground, internet and TV. In the same way that eating healthy matters, the wholesome, constructive learning environment we create provides children with a prime opportunity to develop their potential. This little museum has become a creative laboratory for children, where thoughtfully created exhibits and programs inspire them to learn about the world at their fingertips. Through the considerable work to create these exhibits and programs, our many volunteers and few staff work very hard and have discovered that the museum inspires them to do the same things we want for our children: to utilize interests and abilities, to learn new things and grow, and to invest energies in creating positive experiences that in turn build community. This museum nurtures a rich cycle of innovation that is valuable to every child and to every adult. Far more than just exhibits and programs, the Escondido Children's Museum creates experiences and relationships that open people to the wonderful potential in their minds and hearts.

California Center for Arts
While many cities present entertainment in venues they own and operate, very few house their own dedicated theatrical production company. For almost 30 years, Moonlight Stage Productions of the City of Vista has produced professional musicals and theater productions from the ground up. The renovation provided Moonlight with a fully equipped, modernized stage house complete with new audio systems, theatrical lighting, motorized rigging and full orchestra pit. AD provided acoustics recommendations including environmental noise control as well as designed audio systems that would optimize the space and ensure excellent sound coverage to all seating areas.
